What's with this trend lately? The last three people who have begun watching me (that sounds creepy) are people I don't know, aren't friends of people I know and are definitely not watching for my submissions. What's most telling is to look at the number of people they're watching: 19,000... 50,000... 163,000!

Holy shit, people! Is there some sort of contest going on or are you really that hard up to get more visibility for your art? Personally I find this behavior to be a bit insulting; if you want to genuinely watch me, great. Don't abuse the system and waste my time just so I check out your page.

Edit: Well, at least the one with 163k comes right out and says they're studying to see how many pageviews, shouts, watches, etc result from it.
