My mate told me about that ages ago, not heard it yet tho.... iirc he said that Katie Mellua's writer is the guy who originally wrote or sung the theme hence why she covered it

but yeah.. the original is most likely 100x better (and i though nobody remembered the dreamstone.. ahh when kids tv was good....)

The original is miles better. There's actually some emotion in the singing. Mike Batt wrote and performed all his songs, so it would have been him who helped if that's true.

according to Wikipedia he 'discovered her' and its not the first time shes sung his songs (a lot of the ones shes famous for are his it seems)

but yeah leave it alone :C i loved/love the theme
