You could simulate it yourself, by adding corners to your own avatar, though.
I just wasn't sure, so doublechecked it with 'neer.
The problem with having both styles available is that we wouldn't be able to make the structural (including behind the scenes) changes. Not to mention the amound of extra thumbnail data that would have to be cached.
Agreed on the heads-up, though.
