Cottage in Canada

I know I haven't posted here in awhile, and there is A LOT of things that have happened since my last post, but I felt this one was most important to me to get out there...
For those that know me, you have most likely heard me mention the "Cottage up in Canada" which has been my happy place, and honestly the biggest reason to move up North. My hopes were that my family (namely my uncle since he is now sole owner of the cottage) would include me in continuing the legacy, since it was promised to one day be mine by my grandfather and alluded to taking it over from my uncle himself.
Found out last weekend from a neighbor, not even my uncle, that he is selling the place due to not having enough time to spend at the cottage for upkeep (he lives in Florida) and repair costs. This is complete BS since I have been ready and willing to help out for years, but its obvious now that I was never once considered to be a part of this place.
The cottage is in the worst state of disrepair I have ever seen it, and whoever the future owner will be will most likely need to strip everything down to the studs due to the water damage, mold, and rodent infestation I observed while I was there. It sickens me it has gotten this bad when it didn't need to be!
Honestly, I will feel better once its sold, because then I will know he won't have access to it any longer either.

Cottages can be a rough thing, family-wise and I'm sorry this has gone so badly for you.
