What I believe in/Stand for: Free choice. All this believing in a greater being has pretty much been ripped out of me by science. I still don't stand for science at the same time even though it has solid proof majority of the time.
Bi/Gay marriage rights abortion: I personally think this is a ridiculous subject. I would say for pretty good reasons too.
I follow a path of choosing choices that I feel is right. This could be considered neutrally aggressive.

Talk your local church into it. It sounds mean if you ask me but I know a guy who made up some situation and his local church actually got him a suit. Quite frankly, I think hes playing a dangerous game.

I differ on the subject of religion and the existence of God. I'm not an evangelist and I dislike people who go around trying to convert everybody, but I strongly believe in a God who loves and cares about each and every one of us. I think I've told you the story about my cousin who was a marine. When I saw his fragmented body, it seemed as if my God was dead and that I would deny His existence for letting such a tragedy happen to me. I spoke to him on the phone a week before he was killed and he told me that I would be the first to see him after he got home. The man was the brother I never had. Imagine having your best friend in the world just taken away, never to be seen again. Your faith in life would be shaken to its roots. Fast forward a year or so to a military cemetery. It was the anniversary of his death and we were bringing him offerings for his gravestone. His favorite soda was Dr. Pepper, so I brought a bottle to put down on his grave. Tears were streaming down my face profusely, but I felt something almost envelope me. It was a warmth and comfort that I had never previously experienced and it seemed to assure me that everything would be okay. From then on, I decided to believe in the existence of God and that belief has made me strive to be the best human being I can possibly be. Faith isn't something you just have, it's something that you have to grow, and some prefer to not nurture a faith tradition. (Which is totally cool in my books. Whatever floats your boat)

As far as abortion goes, I am Pro-Life. A fetus is a human being that has done nothing to deserve death. A fetus has human chromosomes and as soon as ten weeks, it even has a beating heart. That seems human, doesn't it. If we're going to give gays and lesbians the right to marriage, I believe that we should also give fetus' the right to live. "Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness", guess where that comes from. Yep, the Constitution of the United States of America. It would be great if abortion could be completely taken out of the picture, but I'm going to be realistic. Women will still get abortions whether or not. Therefore, I believe that a good happy-medium is to outlaw abortion after the second trimester ends. If a c-section is carried out after the second trimester, the child has a 50/50 chance of living. Aborting the child would be an unnecessary killing of a human being. After the second trimester ends, the chances of the child surviving a c-section just increase with the months. But wait, what if the mother can't support the child? Then she should either put it up for adoption OR leave it at a safe surrender location, they're everywhere. There are simply NO excuses to kill a child that can be removed from the womb and survive. Some say that rape victims should be able to get abortions. Okay, the rapist will get a few years in prison, but why should the child, who has done nothing wrong, get the death penalty? Sure she didn't chose it, but life will grow out of a bad situation. There is also the possibility of an implantation of the egg in the fallopian tubes. This is a serious medical condition and it will kill the mother AND the child if it is allowed to grow. Therefore, to save the life of the mother, the fertilized egg must be terminated. A fallopian implantation, however, is extremely rare. I can't control what a woman does with her unborn child, but I can hope that she choses to give her child a basic Constitutional right.

I felt the need to add an extra not. Science has NOT killed religion, although many would like to believe that. Let me ask you something. Everything that has come to be in the universe has had a cause, yes? Everything in science is cause and effect, yes? Let's go way back in time. Along the way you'll see that everything that has ever come into being has had a cause, and that cause is the Big Bang. So the Big Bang made everything, right? There's nothing to debate here, right? There's no God because the Big Bang caused everything. What caused the Big Bang though? some say it was an expansion of gases, but what caused those gases to expand if they hadn't been expanding before? think about it...

I believe that the universe is much older than the big bang. I also believe that there has been several big bangs that instead of create a universe, have recycled the old one. As for the origin of matter I have no clue but I know that Steven Hawking has some ideas about that. Look up Hawking radiation for a better explanation of his theory

Yes, but that matter had to come from somewhere. Matter does not naturally appear out of nothingness. Its coming to be has to have a cause an I believe that there is a cause, be it God or a magical spaghetti monster, that is unexplained and will remain unexplained.

correct me if im wrong but I think quarks are sub-sub atomic particles that could explain the origin of matter. String theory states that the slower (less energy) a particle moves, the more of that particle you can see. If you were to slow a proton, you would see 6 quarks, and if you were to slow a quark, you would find even smaller particles and that leads to infinitum

Right, and by infinitum do you mean that these particles continue along the space time continuum for eternity and have no origin?

I'm saying that in this theory, there is always a smaller lego. unfortunately, even large normal atoms composed of electrons, neutrons and protons, manage to slip between the waves of light we use to see them, we would need equipment that would be able to produce enough energy to make waves short enough to look at these super small particles which doesnt seem possible. We may never know

like I said, Its just a theory. Hawking radiation may solve more of the mystery that string theory creats

In string theory yes. There is no proof yet so we cant know for sure

where ever these particles stop is where you find the answer to matter or to existance

That is something that is yet to be determined. I don't know, it could have been a giant spaghetti monster that spat out those first, minute particles.

I dont know about a higher power creating sub atomic particles meaning I dont believe that personally but it does fill a large hole in our understanding

If someone were to ask me "What do you believe in?" I would say "Living to be the best person I can be, for myself and others"
Do I do this to please a God or use it as an entrance to Heaven? No. I do this because I feel It is the right thing to do.
I respect others beliefs because I know how it feels to have your faith shaken down, but if someone points their finger at me and saying Im going to burn in a lake of fire, I will stand up for everything I stand for...as A religious person would defend their faith.
I personally do not believe in the CERTAINTY of a divine force..does this mean I think it is impossible? NO. Do I believe in evolution? ehhh...I do believe that it is more probable than religion but at the end of the day, it is still only a theory.
I have seen religion and God work on marvelous ways to change and enlighten people...I have also seen it used to shoot down people, and disturb the sanctity of their lives. I have been at both ends at some point or another. I finally realized I could not live with a hint of uncertainty..I would not "live for God" If I had ANY doubt he was there. So I turn a blind eye to God. Is he real? no idea.. but I do not want to devote my life to an idea. I am happy the way I am.

Religion: I'm a Methodist, we believe that there are many paths to heaven, and aside from a few general criteria (aka, good acts, believe in God, etc), a person can only say which is the right way for them. Obviously, an unrepentant rapist/murderer isn't going to heaven, but if you are a truly good person, who just happens to be raised to read a different holy book, then you've still got a chance.
Gay Marriage: Let the gays get married. They'll find out gay marriage can be as miserable as straight marriage. ^_^
Abortion: Unless it is medically necessary to save the life of the mother, or the result of -legitimate, documented- rape/incest, I am completely against abortion. That's why we have the adoption system in place. If you get knocked up, it's your own damn fault (except for rape). Carry something around inside you for 9 months, deliver it, and you'll think twice about casual sex without protection next time.
Political Party: I'm fairly Libertarian, but I tend to vote Republican because it's closer to my views than Democrat, and Libertarians don't have as much of a chance to win.

I think people should be more open about their straight pride. If a girl can wear a shirt that says "All the cool girls are lesbians" then I can wear a shirt that says "All the cool girls are straight."

Then some would be offended for sure...as I could see how a straight woman would be offended by the lesbian quote.
