So, here's the thing. I've felt stuck in a proverbial rut for about two months now. I have commissions to finish, and somehow every time I sit down to draw it's insanely difficult to get anything out of the tip of my pen. I can draw familiar characters- my mate's, most often. But, I have an intensely hard time getting up the ability to draw almost anything else. I had a lot of fun with a piece of gift art I did for Fiction a couple weeks back...and right after that, I finished a couple of commission pieces and sent out proofs for others. So I've concluded that I want to do something unusual. Something that piques my interest, that will make me go 'Hey, I did that awesome, and it was fun! What else can I do...' because seriously, drawing makes me feel so much better. And I feel like I should do it more.
So, I decided to hold an art giveaway for two pieces of work. Here's the rules, pretty standard for giveaways:
1. You must be watching me.
2. You must pimp this journal with a journal of your own.
3. Leave a comment here with a link to the journal, and a link to any good visual reference you have.
4. Stick the word "Potatoes" somewhere in there, so I know you read the whole journal.
5. List your idea for an image with your character in it- the more unique and dearer to your heart, the better. You can list whatever you like- PG, mature, X rated, anything you like. As you can see from my gallery, pretty much nothing is off-limits. If I have an issue with what you propose, I'll let you know and give you a chance to change the idea, rather than just ignore you.
Next Wednesday, April 11th, I'll pick two characters, and those two will receive free, fully colored and shaded digital artwork of their character and idea.

Ideas: Well i had the idea of being in the pool looking a bit nervous as if learning how to swim as a PG pic. For beyond PG(R or X) one of me with a character I've been developing. No real reference piece but they have been drawn before.

I really like potatoes... do you like potatoes? my favorite is when they're baked. Although fried is just as good.... But baked just has a better overall flavor. Heck it even goes great in casseroles! Too bad it's just so starchy. :P

idea 1 (pg13): I would like a picture of Danny (dwulf's first name) Loungin in a chair, mixing a rum and coke. He's got a headset on and his computer on the desk next to him, with a co-op game running. Into the headset he's saying "Hold on guys im gettin a drink." It's a common thing with me playin games, think it would be cool to see my fursona doing the same thing.
idea 2 (not pg13): I would like a picture with one of my very good friends, the giant Gersemi (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7644616/) using dwulf's super hyper cock as a real flesh and blood dildo. Like some pretty major size difference :P ((nothing world eating sized like in the ref of course. lol but about 40 feet tall or so)) Also she's usually a herm and enjoys having a tail cock as well. so if your willing to throw that in then throw it in there! ^^ (just not inside me please.) I would also like this to seem kind of like a real loving moment between the two. that might be hard to pull off tho in such a situation tho. lol but confidence in you!

Idea: Im hoping for something nice and scenic maybe in an oriental sort of tree house overlooking a bamboo forest with me wearing a robe and looking out to admire a sunset. It would be nice to see myself in a suiting place like that for my character ^_^

Khristina is a girl from the 18th century, part of the Russian royalty, who was born human, but became a weretigress after a romp in the Caucasus mountains. Now, most Russian women are intellectually seasoned and are expected to know Pushkin by heart. Khristina is the exception: she's pretty much an airheaded bimbo. The fact that she drinks enough alcohol to kill a horse doesn't help. Still, she's fun to be around with, even though she can get into trouble, those who come along for the ride can't deny they enjoy it.
If you like you can draw her masturbating with an empty vodka bottle. I figure she would do such a thing when she's alone.
