So when it comes to these. I finally got my scoping plan going on my various Mausers. At the moment I have a 2 3/4x Emil Busch Rathenow AG "Visar" scope being repaired (the elevation knob wasn't functioning.) Once that's repaired I plan to get it mounted on my 1917 Gewehr 98, which is already an obviously rearseneled Turkish loan rifle and one of the transitionals with Kar98 features.
For the Kar98k I plan on getting a ZF-4 reproduction made by one of the original Czech contractors the Germans used during the war. It'd be as close to an original as I can get.
The vz 24, being a straight bolt, will be getting the ZF-41 sharpshooter's scope. Hopefully this rifle shoots better than it currently looks. Even tough the bore is blacker than holy hell and the exterior doesn't look all that grand.
As for the 1916 Gew98, that's a pure Imperial Mauser right there. It'll be staying the way it is. No import marks, one of the last pure examples from 1916 which is when they started introducing new features. The only thing I have to do is something to the rear sight since it's somehow on backwards.

OP
Funny thing is there those are all the old bolt rifles. My WWII collection is predominately the bolt actions over the semi autos.
