The End of SEGA of America
General
So last Friday they called everyone at SOA up to let us know that the American branch of the Company is moving/ merging with the European branch SEGA of Europe. What does that mean for me and most of everyone else? Lay-off!! For me personally, it hasn't effected me b/c there's plenty of other gaming jobs/ companies in the San Francisco Bay Area but I really did enjoy my time with them. Although they'll have small teams finishing a couple more projects, (1 of which going on until around DEC), EVERYONE else (me included*sniff*) will see the axe in April.
SEGA will still be making games of course but testing and all of that will be happening from Europe. My heart goes out to the hard workers and dedicated staff that has been with the companies years (or nearly a decade). May your wounds heal with time and I hope the best for everyone looking for work. ______██████████████

But it was inevitable after the fuckups they did over the years.
To Be honest, I really wished they released more shining force games outside Japan, like Shining Wind
I had no idea you worked with Sega of America. I hope things look up for you else where at least :/
