For those that don't know... my sister was in the hospital around Christmas for a fungal infection in her feet that was not good for her being a type 2 diabetic that is over weight. She had to medication injected into her heart directly for the infection through an iv tube inserted into her arm.

A couple weeks ago she ended up going to the hospital again because she could not get out of bed and if she was could not walk without assistance. For the se last couple she has been on and off oxygen.

Last night I saw her and was informed that she has endocarditis (not sure if I spelled that right, but it means she has a small hole in her heart). Which is normally not life threatening but in her case with the infection that is in her leg, the orthopedic doctor think it might be in her bone. Because of that hole in her heart we kinda are not sure how she will cope with surgery because if the infection gets to her heart it be good at all.

I'm not close to my sister but if problems persist, I wont have a sister when I turn 25 or 30 which is not good on top of a friend who is nervous because he is going through a scare and hopes it is not cancer... I'd hate to lose my sister and a very good friend because of illness.
