So life has been pretty interesting here lately. I've been slowly getting through my 2nd year of college and am finally almost done with it. In my drawing class this semester I got to do my first nude figure drawings. I've been talking for the past year or so how excited i've been for this, however when the time finally came to draw a naked stranger, I suddenly turned into a giggling kid in 7th grade health class all over again. After about 5 minutes or so I gained my composure and treated it like any other still life, but regardless it was an interesting experience XD
As many of my friends know, I've been a broke sack of crap over the last 2 years (everyone who witness me nomming on my sghettios and nutella sandwiches at AC last year knows this XD). However in the past couple of months i've realized that I can't survive as a poor hobo forever, so I decided to go back to wal-mart for a job. As much as I despised working there in high school, I realized that after 2 years of on and off unemployment/ employment at various unfair horrible jobs that walmart as a whole was not that bad. And I sure as hell needed some somewhat substantial paychecks. So I'm back to work as a cashier on the weekends, and as much as I complain and hate my life because of it sometimes, overall I'm glad to have the job.
And on a much brighter note, I got an offer today about a resident assistant position over part of the summer. Its an arts related job which excites me, and I know that its something that will look way better on a resume than walmart ever will.
I've also been contemplating the deletion of my facebook account alot today. I've realized that I waste a lot of time on that website, and I really get nothing good out of it. All it does is make me creep on people's private lives and make me dwell on my past too much. My life has changed drastically since high school, so I don't see why I should be so stuck to a website that hasn't changed with me. Most of my close friends have accounts on here or deviantart, so I feel like I wouldn't be missing out on much. If nothing else, I'll actually have to get some phone numbers of some old friends I want to keep and touch with, and god forbid, actually call someone to catch up every once in a while. Because I feel like nobody really does that anymore.
On a final note, I have an art tumblr! I plan on uploading a lot more of my sketches, doodles, WIP's, and schoolwork to it than I do on here or DA, so make sure to check it out! http://sporkydoodles.tumblr.com/
