Is anyone else interested in the upcoming remake of X-Com?

You heard me right. They are actually bringing back X-Com.
Turn-based, squad-level tactical action. I've played practically every incarnation of such games since the X-Com series died. Some were good, some were shite, but even the best ones couldn't quite reach that level of awesome.
This leads me to a mental state in which I only rarely find myself. On one hand, to say that I'm excited for this development is sortof like saying that Skynet didn't much care for humans.
On the other hand, if they fuck it up, nobody will unleash a bigger shitstorm about it.
I'm trying very hard to not get overly hopeful. I want to be pleasantly surprised by its good points, not dwelling on any potential bad points.
Still... I'm guessing that I'll get just as addicted to it as I am to Skyrim right now.

No, not that one. Firaxis is making a true-to-the-original strategic/tactical command game. Bases, aircraft, unique soldiers with levels, research and engineering, the works. http://www.xcom.com/enemyunknown/ There's a link for you, check it out.

after going to the website and lookign at that. it what they should have done in the first place rather than make a mass effect clone. i hope this does happen. I loved X-com.
