Internship

I just snagged me a position at a really nice historic preservation department for the summer. Very excited!! It's a non paying internship, so I will still have to find a second job, but what I will learn there will be definitely worth my time :-D

Now as for that second job...anyone need a service dog?

Me..probably nothing. As an intern I figure I will mostly shadow others. Although I may be in charge of a couple projects during the summer..what they are, I don't know yet.

actually i have not done anything on her house she never called me back that i am aware of, to come out and work. if she has she never left a voice message.

She keeps telling me she keeps calling you and is waiting for you to let her know if you can come out there. That was a few months ago, so I assumed all the work was done. But if not, I will ask that she call you again and leave a message..or that you call her..Yay middleman! :-D

I did go out there and we spoke about what materials she needed and when i was supposed to come out she called and said that she did not have the materials yet. and as far as i know never called again.

Ranges. The lady I will work for told me about a house built in the late 1600's, a swing bridge from the 1930's..and since this is the Baltimore/Maryland area..there are plenty of structures (we are talking hundreds of thousands) that this department is concerned with that are oh soooo historical :-D

Really? Awesome! Yeah, I am majoring in architecture (if you didn't already know) but I have more interest in historic stuff and preservation. In fact, classes are offered for that for arch and I am planning on taking them :-D

Second Empire..I love how creepy they are and totally want to design a house in that style. Plant a few orange trees..kill them..let them get all dead looking (nothing is creepier as a dead tree than a grove of dead orange trees) Oh and secret passageways!!
