Doing art with/for others?

I kind of want to draw my characters interacting with other people's, but I don't know what to draw, or what said people will want/ be comfortable with (should it come to that) their character's doing with mine.
I follow so many artists whose characters are so cool, I really just want to include them or draw them.
Does anybody have any suggestions involving their character (and maybe hopefully one of/both of mine) they'd like me to try to draw?

I bet you could probably do an art trade or two with people though!
I don't wanna just pound on their proverbial doors and heckle folks, though...
But I have no date lol ;3;
