Apple has announced officially that it will be entering into the video game industry again with the Pippin 2. According to a representative, the original Pippin was never a failure. "We actually expected to sell about 50,000 units, and we did sell about that much. The others we manufactured were in fact spares that were made for any warranty claims we may have encountered." The executive has said they expect the Pippin 2 to be much more successful and will serve as a better alternative to Microsoft's XBOX 360. In keeping with Apple's tradition of overpricing its products and neglecting one crucial detail in them, the new gaming device is estimated to cost about $2000, and will only be compatible with the Apple TV that is expected to be released later this year. No further details or pictures of the Pippin 2 have been released yet, but the Apple executive had these final words to say, "Keep your eyes, ears, and bodies peeled for E3 2012."
