Wham-Bam, Thank You, Ma'am!

So my last journal was a little gloomy. My car had died and I was struggling to pay the bills. Thanks to all you commissioners, things are looking a lot better now.
1. A friend of my mom's bought a new car and wanted to get rid of the old one. It was a 2000 Dodge Neon and there was nothing wrong with it, but they just didn't need it anymore. I was able to acquire it for $1,600. Registering it was a bit of a fiasco since she had bought it in another state and she had recently married, so her name had changed, but I finally have a vehicle that gets 30 miles per gallon and won't break down every other month. I just wish I hadn't spent an entire afternoon vacuuming dog hair out of it.
2. I'm still at my old job at the framing store, but one of the leads has decided she wants to go back to school to become an elementary school teacher. The framer filled her position and I filled the framer's position. It means about ten more hours a week and a 40 cent raise, which isn't a whole lot, but I'll take anything I can get.
3. I filed my taxes and actually got around $850 back!! Thanks for the tax cuts, Obama! Now please do everything in your power to pass the student loan forgiveness (in all seriousness, I really don't think that's gonna happen.)
So once again, thanks for your help. I should have some new art up before the end of the week.
