true, they can, but they need a two thirds majority to pass a vetoed bill, so if the big O pulls through for us, the odds of both parties agreeing on it are next to nil....

I wouldn't say that. There is so much money pumping through our goverment. These guys would (and have in some cases) sell parts of their states to foreign interests if they earn a triple-digit profit.

In the end, it is going to come down to how much money the music and film industries are offering them to pass it. SOPA didn't work, the only reason being that it took long enough for that to make the run that it had time to build up massive oppossition against it. That's why CISPA is being fast-tracked.

Perhaps you may consider me pessimistic about it, but I think sooner or later we are going to fail and they are going to install a Big Brother society. The writing was on the wall ever since September 11th.
