Comment thievery. Major otter petpeeve

It's so annoying! There is nothing about furaffinity that bugs me more than when I write out an interesting, funny, or detailed comment only to have someone reply to it other than the person it's intended for. I mean on rare occassion it's for a good reason but more often then not it's just someone trying to latch on to someone elses good idea, or even worse it's some idiot wanting to get some "famous fur's" attention.
Example
I dunno, adam wan comments on a picture about how he likes the way it's drawn. Three other furs will all respond specifically to his comment with something dumb like "I agree" or "Yeah!" in a poorly veiled attempt to get the guy's attention.
I mean, make your own comment, don't be an ass and ruin my comment by tacking your half assed comment onto it.
I dunno if this could be construed as an april fools joke but in case anyone mistakes it as such I assure you this genuinely bugs the crap out of me =p

I like chocolate milk. =3
aaa.
*Is particularly annoyed by it tonight x3*
*laugh*
Then again, when you are "famous" hell i wouldn't wanna reply to everyone's posts either xD So i will stay away from furry fames, kthnxbai ^^
By the way, yes, Shaksspeare not sheakspeare...dammnit!
But! Also remember that there are ligitimate reasons for commenting on someone elses' comment. Freedom of speach entitles everyone to be able to sycophant their way to attention. It is the American Dream.
Also "I mean on rare occassion it's for a good reason"
I made note that there's cause sometimes.
And secondly, is it really that rare of occasion that it is acceptable? Comments are not sacred or anything. Barring an added "duur, dem paynes shur is perdy" sort, it shouldn't really be much of a detraction from any sort of valid remark.
Besides! Everyone likes to be agreed with. I think it is referred to as psychological validation.
(oh, and as a native Kentucky hillbilly, I claim the same rights to make detracting and stereotypical commends like: "Mm.. dats miighty perdy boots ya got there mister. You make dem yurself na'?" without offending PC watchdogs. :D I have the up most respect for bumpkins, wingnuts, and no teeth screw loosers.)
*gets off of pedistal*
If you want your interactions one to one, use an instant messenger or email. If you don't want threaded discussions, then don't use a community like this. It's quite simple, really.
What's wrong with actual insightful commentary chains inside comment threads? "Me too" is a drag and stupid, but is "Me too" as a threadjacking comment any more inherently bad than "GTHXIjacked it. Ur pronz ar gud." as a top-level comment? Bottom line is, if your commentary is good, whether it's directed at the producer of a work, or at another commenter, it's inherently valuable- but only if it's not fabricated of stupid.
