So my mate and I celebrated our 3 month anniversary this weekend and after much discussion with my friends and myself I decided on the best gift to give him.

On our last night together I took him to see the avengers. After the movie I drove him out to the beach and took him to my families boat. I laid the cushions down on the back of the boat and we sat under the stars and the full moon cuddling, nuzzling and lightly kissing. As we listened to the waves and a very very stubborn seagull (he would not stop his squawking but meh who cares) I told my mate the truth:

I have never felt the way I do about you with anyone else.
The way you make me feel is like a thousand clouds floating through my veins.
I could grab one of those stars when I am with you.
I have told you things I haven't told anyone else outside of my family.
I can't hold it back any longer
I love you

At this point he teared up and we kissed, hard and long and we only broke the kiss for him to respond in kind <3
But then, under the moon we made love, with only each other for warmth yeah its cheesy but you know what cheesy is ok sometimes.

As for the word love. Its a tremendous word that should be used lightly and sincerely. I am glad that I waited. Bc now I know that there is no other way to describe how I feel about my mate.
