Myself I think of it really as all of them... because that is what it actually represents is all of these things...

It is is all of them to me. But I'd love to see other sites, which work in similar ways as FA, to have higher quality/service and more attraction so it would create a competition. And no, DA is exluceded, the community tends to be shit.
