Dana was a pretty repressed individual back in the day. It looks like she once felt that she had to maintain a veneer of squeaky-cleanliness that she would later decide was unhealthy and unnecessary. Being internet shitheads, we saw a COMEDY OPPORTUNITY in all of this and decided to keep poking her over her vulnerability and insecurity. That then overflowed into LOL CRAZY TRANNY bullshit because we were all trying to one-up each other and didn't really care that we were taking this sort of crap way too far. Transpeople get a lot of shit from people who should goddamn know better and here we were, encouraging this behavior and passing it off as poking fun at an easy target.

In the end though, there is no making any excuses for what we did. I don't even think I can adequately explain it. It was just a crummy thing to do, and I feel bad about it.
