I see no problem with this! In terms of the 3 panels or having 3 figures, that's not surprising at all. Most story-telling can be broken up into 3s: premise -> exposition -> result, which makes 3-panel comics essentially the most boiled-down form of story-telling.

There's also something aesthetically pleasing about groups of three. I think it's because when you have two items you are making a comparison or a contrast (these two are similar or these two are different). When you have three items in a group it allows you to see commonalities between the group while still making the distinctions of comparison (all three have these traits, but the one on the left is a little different, etc). Its the minimum number of items you need in order to be able to do that. It's part of the reason why there's the "rule of three" in comedy, where three things put together are funnier than two things, and four things is just too much. You establish a relationship with the first two items, and then with the third you make a distinction which is uncharacteristic of the relationship or unexpected. (I hate people who give their kids dumb names. I hate people who name their kids like Bey-Bey or Bo-Bo or Sarah Palin.)

Also, I don't know if you know this, but humans also perceive time in spaces of 3-seconds, to help us process information more smoothly. That's why that the recommended "good hug" is 3-seconds long.

hehe i saw it before i read what you posted :P Nothing wrong with those patterns. self consciously did it i guess *shrugs* hehe or maybe your inner 'fursona' is just youngish and always smaller then most people :3
