NEW COMPUTER!!!
I've just set up the basics on my new desktop system!
The only things left to do are reinstall all of the programs I want (there were a bunch of junk software on the laptop), hope to Primus that I can have Adobe CS5 on multiple systems (if not I'll deactivate the laptop ones), wait for the old files and settings to get ready for transferring, and wait for my next pay check so I can get the Graphics Card and some Speakers.
I'm typing this up on the new system! It turns on so fast, it'll take a while for me to get used to not waiting 5 minutes to use it lol.
Also, I plan on doing some heavy testing to see if I'm able to do more of what I couldn't on the 6 year old machine that will be reduced to a remote access box. Or a door stop. Whichever.
Tests include using Bridge to scan all of my TF files at once (PNGs to start with as there are less of them than JPGs) and not get any "out of memory" errors. I've got 8 gigs of Ram. There shouldn't be an issue.
Also gonna try to open up a couple Photoshop files that my old POS had real troubles with opening. Never mind working on.
