Visiting hours for my surgury
PLUR <3 FUR
My surgury will be at St vinncent Medical center at 5:30 am on june 20th. (pre op will be the 19th and i may be "free ish" after an appointment at 3:30 at House Ear Clinic, eaning i may be free around 5 *shrugs*) .while I am in ICU for the next 24-48 hours visiting hours are:
"All the ICU's (Critical Care Units) have open visitation, that means we are open from 0830 in the morning until 1800 in the evening. We are closed for shift change from 1800-2030. We reopen at 2030 until 0600, we close for shift change from 0600-0830.There can be 2 visitors at a time during the day and 1 at night. Children under 12yrs of age are discouraged for visitation."
After my ICU visiting hours are:
"St. Vincent Health System recognizes that visits are good for a patient's therapy, and encourage family members and friends to visit patients. General visiting hours are 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. unless otherwise specified. Children under 12 years of age are not allowed above the first floor; except as specified. If you have questions regarding the number of visitors permitted or visiting hours, please check with your nurse."
Id gladly enjoy seeign my friends and service dogs if allowed. I will likely be out of it. please my dear friends excuse me if at the time I am upset, angry, or nonresponsive, I do not yet know how I will deal with my loss of hearing (right side) along with medications they will give me and the post operative effects (pain, nausea, fatigue, etc), id say sneak me some good food but it probably isnt best and I will be unable to taste with approximately 70% of my taste buds for the following few weeks. Additionally, to warn you my face will look very mangled, this is due to the surgery inflaming (hopefully not damaging) my facial nerve so i may look liek a stroke victim but that is expected to return to normal in the coming months.
So you can find me my name is A. Gaines (phone number 805 680 0098) under the care of Dr. Friedman. J. Kinsely and R. Gaines will be my friend and parent overseeing my condition/care.
Feel free to be furry/fursuit/ravey(therapy dogs welcome)(even if R. Gaines objects, as long as it is not a medical hazard), I could use the smile
