I'm trying to think up a character, and I want the species to be something interesting, but I'm horrible at thinking of something interesting.
Mention as many species as you can that aren't "unoriginal" or common, in the fur fandom that is ALSO not a member of the following:
Amphibian, avian, bats, canine, dragon (or scalies), hyena, insect, marine, mollusc, bear or vulpine.
(These are species I do not want the sona to be.)
I'm horrible at this. Got any ideas? Please? Anything that's not typical.
Updated: might go for a koala unless I can think of something better.

FA+

The Alien from the alien movies, it has a name but damned if I can remember what it is.
Llama
Elephant
Antelope
Gazelle
Monkey
Gorilla
Giraffe
Mouse/Rat
Opossum
Echidna
Platypus
Uhhh can't think of any more right now
you also forgot Kangaroo as popular
And having Vulpine on the list is quite redundant since Canine is already listed...
As for the uncommon species..
Antelope
Marmot
Skunk?
Racoon?
Rhino
Platipus
Hare
Buffalo
Bison
Okapi
Shrew?
Wombat?
Human
Any non-animal (plants, machines etc..)
Aliens
Those with an ? after is ones I'm unsure of.
As a fox who's done quite alot of research; It's only a common misunderstanding that Vulpines are a different group. See, the term "Canine" refers to the family of Canidae which includes species such as Wolves, Dogs, Foxes, Dingos etc..
The term "Vulpine" refers only to the genus "Vulpes" which is categorized in the family Canidae which makes them Canines.
In short, whilst your example of Dragons not necessarily being related to lizards is correct. Biologically all Vulpines ARE Canines and therefore I still find it redundant.
For a related fun fact: Arctic Foxes (Alopex Lagopus) and Culpeos (Lycalopex culpaeus) are because of this NOT Vulpines but, using the same naming scheme, Alopines and Lycalopines.
I'm just somewhat picky sometimes with certain subjects..
