My New Laptop
So last week I decided it was finally time to ditch my 10+ year old HP Pavilion 743c desktop and get with the times. Plus the computer was freezing up a lot, performing very slowly and especially Second Life where I had an average of 7 FPS.
I got an ASUS K73SV laptop from Amazon for $680 (original price was well-over $800). It's 17.3", Windows 7 Home Premium, 4GB DDR3 RAM, Intel Core i5, BluRay/DVD player and nVidea GeForce GT 540M with 1GB VRAM.
Here is a picture of mine (sorry it's dark my cellphone can't seem to capture light well): http://i.imgur.com/SeGXz.jpg
And here is my laptop's desktop: http://i.imgur.com/FYoVu.jpg
So far, it performs excellent and SecondLife reaches 60+ FPS maximum, instead of 15 maximum; this makes me very happy.
Again, thanks a lot
