People have Pokemon in their icons on a daily basis, I'm afraid this won't be going anywhere.

Pokemon has been around since I was little. It's a very popular game that keeps pumping out new games, so I'm not surprised it's still popular with all age groups.
But I'm sure someone out there is sick of seeing new pokemon. Actually, ever new gen there's a lot of people who rage about it.

That was my point yes :) And indeed there are quite a few nay-Sayers to the new Pokemon games, funny enough its the fans that do it. Can't have a fandom with out "Ruined Forever". MLP seems to have caught a wave, 90's/early 00's kids have been dying for cartoons they feel capture the shows they grew up with, and even though there have been some that have popped up recently I think that because Lauren Faust is behind it that pretty much just took hold.

Nice to see a kindred spirit. What amuses me the most are "bronies" who aren't furry and don't realize that bronies are kind of like the new furry, especially similar to, say, early 90s furries. Using cutesy replacements for words like "everypony" and "clop," all the porny blogs, cosplaying, "ponysonas," etc.

It's a fandom. Furry, Anime, now Brony. They're all pretty much made of the same kind of people. The cool dudes, the awkward weirdos, and the blatant I'M A SICK FUCK.

hey, thanks to that lyra plushie, I made almost $30 bucks today on merchandise -- not even MLP-related stuff!! Just from pure visits to the website that the plushie was listed on. I was in the right place at the right time. So, if you play your cards right, you can really cash out on this stupid fad.

What I find saddening though was a revival of a few old dumb memes that just HAD to be revived with some horrible pony image.

I don't mind the ponies, the biggest BIGGEST hate I have is the ones that have to PUSH MLP into EVERYTHING. It's gotten to the point of which so called "bronies" can find nothing else to relate to. Guns? Rainbow dash holding a gun. Oh, you like Homestuck? Prepare to see every damned character drawn as a pony a billion times over. That new League of Legends centaur character got threads upon threads filled with dipshits begging..no... DEMANDING a fucking MLP skin. Oh. IT'S RELATED TO A HORSE!? YOU HAVE TO MAKE MLP VERSION OF IT RIGHT FUCKING NOW. One thing that makes me sick is a lot of artists bandwagoned the Pony fandom in the means of not enjoying it, but knowing very well that it's profitable.

Then the fact that they dis the original 80s MLP............ that is all kinds of annoying.
