Hand out of commission
Well, great news. I'm part of the event crew fior a major event in Scotland every year. This year, I've managed to fuck up my drawing hand in the first hour of the week. Stupidly, I decided against using workgloves when working on preparing one of the tracks in use this weekend.
The result was a large blister covering most of my palm. I got it bandaged up, but the thing burst and kept leaking all day. I've kept it clean, but it's gone infected. My hand is now bound up pretty tight and hurting like fuck.
I have no idea how long this is going to take to heal, but it's really fucking annoying.
Piss.

I wish you a quick recovery-- wounds to the hands are annoying! D:
Did it happen while you were thermite welding? D:
Don't get lazy with your wound. Regularly rinse it out with a disinfectant like hydrogen peroxide (which will hurt like the dickens but oh well) and always apply fresh bandages. IDK about what DD said about using bleach, but I'm pretty sure hydrogen peroxide would be a much safer/less sketchy bet.
It'll take a while to heal completely, but keeping it clean will reduce swelling and pain enough to make your hand usable.
