unfortunately its a Con and theres a certain level of grace one has to upkeep as a dealer at a table. But also being a dealer stuck at a table makes me a thin little target for creepers because i cannot remove myself from the situation. Nor can i punch them in the face.

makes me wonder why they never blacklist him and forbid him to attend?

I unfortunately DID before i knew the whole story, i was, at the time, in desperate need of money so i didnt do as much digging as i should have. My excuse is young and stupid. live and learn. Anyway he took it to mean BEST FRIENS because i did art for him. and even after i blocked him on YIM and DA.... yeah....

if it's the same individual, the main drama came from him begging for money for rent, energy and food, and instead spending it on comissioned art, while still starving and on the verge of becoming homeless. he pulled that stunt several times even though people found out and called him upon it. this even led to artists beign harassed because someone found a submission remotely looking like a certain canine with a red bandana...
as far as I could gather, he never learned why it was bad to use money donated for his rent, on comissioned art. and if he really is autistic, it would be the reason, why.

but hey, what upcoming artist knows to dig into a potential new customers' past looking for possible trouble? I wouldn't say it was your fault... could have happened to everybody.

its an action i regret every time im reminded. and yes it is indeed the same person. While i could blame autisim, from what ive seen, hes HIGHLY manipulative as well he knows damn well what hes doing is wrong because several times hes falsely tried to fix it. only to go back to his own ways. that aknowlegement alone leads me to beleive its alot more than just autisim at play.

never underestimate the incapacitated; many of them know very well what they want, and how to achieve it. and they learn pretty fast they have a lot of freedom once "normals" realize they have a condition... and exploit them. been there, had to realize it, too, though in much smaller scale.

I didn't mean to imply that autists are idiots. I have a cousin who is one, he tends ro run around and randomly sheds his clothes no matter the temperature, and doesn't speak. I don't think he's an idiot, he merely lives in a world of his very own, it seems.

but I seem to remmeber having read that many forms of autism come with a lack of social skills, and the disability to learn them at all. which would explain where the idea came from that Allan is one, too.

Well...studies say that a person CAN fake anything medical, if they know the symptoms...for instance, a child faking the cold to avoid school. He could very well be faking.

Also, Autistic people do have a little world of their own sometimes...trust me...mine is where I'm sitting right now...on my bed with my laptop. (However, some have their head in the clouds at times...that can be me as well...end up staring into space and such...lol,)

I'm at a very high functioning level of autism...the lower you go..the more truly handicapped they are...so in a sense Autistic people can be idiots. XD

highly functional autists remind me of "Rain Man" and to some extend of the crime movie series, "Monk". sometimes it comes with extraordinary talents, too. but I'm not sure I'd like to trade... all in all I think the whole of people have a skewed perception of conditions like autism.

some time ago I've found out Tourette sybndrome comes in many flavours. aside certain speech patterns that must be supressed conciously (I can't imagine that, must take a lot of strength) there are other things, too.
years ago I came across a co-worker who would talk silly and joke around all day, but in a good manner; though it could get on your nerves, of course. another co-worker later told me that guy would cower down into a ball on the train home, all quiet down. that's when I realized he had some form of tourette... at work, where we were tolerant of his quirks, he could let loose. on the train he couldn't tell how people would react, and maybe he was afraid? anxiety? dunno.
knowing this made bearing his antics easier, because I knew he couldn't help it.

Riht, that co-worker is sorta the way I am...though I can control myself...lol. As for Tourettes Syndrome, one of my friends has it...and it's kinda weird. "What's FUCK up dude?! Shit...sorry." Sometimes it slips in while he's talking, other times while we're hanging out and playing games or something.

Though the one thing I do, is...well...people think it's weird but I practice voice impressions on my free time.

The reasons behind things are different for everyone. Personally, I think it's genetic, because I did some research and some of my ancestors had it...recessive gene maybe? :P

Check before you take the mace with you: some cities don't allow it - the con security may not know, they're Dorsai Irregulars and most will probably be from out of state.

It's legal in the state, but make sure it's legal in Pittsburgh - city ordinances are often more restrictive than the state ordinances (there's lots of things that are perfectly legal in the state of New York that are highly restricted in NYC, for example), and if you have to use it, it's Pittsburgh PD you'll be talking to, not the Staties. I couldn't find anything online so far that says it's restricted, so you're probably all right, but make sure: informed self-defence is always the way to go.

There are all sorts of unpleasant and weird folks on the internet: you'll find that, in general, they're as timid and cowardly in person as they are pushy and aggressive online. If they start getting demanding, don't be afraid to raise your voice, drawing attention to them, especially if they're asking for something weird, sends them scurrying like cockroaches.

You know, this is just another example of why I think furry fandom is too forgiving. This guy has screwed over and harassed dozens of people, and yet they let him into conventions. The reason WHY some of these people keep doing what they're doing is that they know they can get away with it. Nobody ever takes the hard line and bans them.

im going to get Usaden to be my boygaurd methinks and im going to inform the constaff of my intention to use mace if he gets confrontational with me, because kneeing him in the gonads would be more tempting but also could be construed as an unprovoked assult. Make sure it's kosher with the Anthrocon weapon policy before you do. I tend to expect the worst, and I wouldn't put it past a skuzz to claim he wasn't doing anything when you pulled out an unauthorized weapon on him.

yeah i want to go about it 100% legally so theres NO wiggle room if i HAVE to use it. I cant legally use my fists or any part of my body to punch him either, ( took karate and reached black belt tier, if it ever went to court it could be said i assaulted him with lethal weapons, because LEGALLY you can claim that the assaulter had the potentail to attack with lethal force, no matter what level of training so long as there WAS training.... yippie.) I dont really want to beat him up, i dont even WANT to mace him, i just want to know that i have SOME level of immediate self defense available to me thats relatively harmless long term that im allowed to use. Just making sure my options are open in that respect. But yeah i'll definately be talking with the proper authorities, i want to make sure im doing everything by the book so if worst case senario goes down, i can do whatever i can.

At first I didn't know who you were talking about, but reading some of the comments and your replies, it brings up some memories that I am not sure if it's the same person. I can't even remember the name, but I can think of what the person has done. Just not sure if it is the same person or not. Either way, I won't be running into him as I am unable to attend. But if things go right, I could possibly attend next year, and might have the displeasure of meeting said person.
