Finding a number of different rides with only one or two seats to spare each may or may not be easier than one furry driving alone in a van, SUV, or bus who just so happens to be willing and able to take on all five of you plus your gear (even 5 backpacks with just a few changes of clothes and such each would add up to a certain amount of space). But it might end up that some of you can get a lift while others are left behind. If you're willing to risk splitting up like that and meeting at the con, you might want to specify such.

Fraisala beat me to a good point.. Have you tried pecking around for rides that would accomodate a smaller number of passengers? It might be a few folks are going and with their gear, they have a spot for one or two more folks but not a vanload's worth. The odds are enough greater for that it is possible you all rides separately and meet up at the Westin upon arrival.

Best of luck finding a ride, Kit and I have too much shenanigans ourselves, we eat up the rest of the Xterra in suits and other shenanigan supplies.
