machines...why do you hate this poor pony so!!!!
trying to finish up the last of my items that i was planning on delivering at AC
and of course...the pony curse strikes again
my nice shiny new singer sewing machine just started going haywire
is putting out too much thread on the underside so it's just a stream of floof, breaking needles, binding up, and generally not wanting to work even on just a single layer of cotton broadcloth
i've already done every maintenance action i can think of or find in the owners manual so....i dont know....
gah

~Double check Thread tensioner.
~Replace/redo bobben.
~Thicker needle.
~Thicker thread.
My machine has the same problem, and it seems to really only like wirery stiff theads.
did it -no result
did it -no result +shrapnel
did it - worse binds
previous to this my machine did NOT like the thick heavy threads i only use those on my heavy duty machine for leather and super thick fur
the fabric i was working on when it went to shit was 2 pieces of fleece...
same shit i've been using since i got the machine :/
broke it down as far as i ever have, cleaned everything, vacuumed out the rest with my lil keyboard vac, oiled the bits that you're supposed to oil...
...
no result
