Paw pads and other things...
¡Hola!
I don't know if you noticed, but I posted my new Profile ID today. The old one was good, but I didn't think it was particularly representative of my style any more, nor the silly/absentmindedness the Ponce character has since taken on.
But I wanted to ask some opinions, so please share them. :3
1. I've never drawn hand pawpads before till I put them on Kammy in the profile ID. What do you think of them? Should I put them on more canines and felines when you can see their palms?
2. Gosh Kammy's hair is getting long. Either she's going to show up to the Brave premier in costume, or she needs a haircut. What do you think of Kammy's ever increasing locks?
3. Are my commission prices and info easy to understand, or could I make them better somehow? If so, how?
Also, a big thank you to all my new watchers and all my long time watchers. I'm very happy to have so many nice furs viewing my art, and I probably don't say thank you enough. So, THANK YOU! :3

Long hair is cool :D
It seemed easy to understand to me. o:
I don't mind about Kammy's hair. Honestly, if you want to cut her hair shorter, then you do it. Your charcter, your say.
I have no problem at all understanding your prices, though you might want to link to a journal with all of them on for reference.
I always let my commissioners approve each stage before I move on. I show sketches, then inks, then colors. Sometimes, even if I can move onto the next step, because I haven't heard back from people these things can take a few days of back and forth (especially when changes are needed).
Also, I'm not a full time artist, I do this as a side thing and usually very late at night into the next morning. So a lot of how long something takes is based on how much free time I have.
In a perfect world though, assuming I have the time to go straight through on a picture and the commissioner is online at the time and responsive, I can get a 1 character commission done in about 1.5 to 2 hours. Though usually its a 3 day affair from the time I start just due to scheduling being different between the commissioner and myself, day 1 sketch, day 2 inks, day 3 colors.
Additionally, a lot of times I'll be working on multiple commissions at once, so like recently I did a sketch and the inks in one night for someone, but then he had to wait for like 2 days while I finished a commission for someone else who had paid first and had taken a little longer to respond for approval at one of the stages.
But generally, if its not a 10 person group picture, I like to think I have a pretty good turn around time. :3
Long hair adds character and detail. So I think the new look is fine. (Tho a miss hap with the hair clippers could be funny)
You're prices we're understandable. And they seem reasonable.
2: Long hair is awesome (As long as its on girls and sometimes guys but never on me!)
2: I understood your prices and low (compared to other artists) thats why I love your artwork! its reasonably price I think the only person who competes with you is
1. Some characters have pawpads and some don't -- and some don't mind if their characters are drawn with pawpads or not. This is probably a matter for Kammy to decide; does her character have them or not? It's probably good to know how to do pawpads for those who are very particular about them. Kammy's paw position looks a bit odd in this, but not a LOT odd.
2. I dunno, I think she looks good with long hair. On the one paw, her hair would grow with time. On the other, the weird magic effects of FOY water might make her hair growth work strangely -- or even if they don't, she might get it cut regularly. I'm not sure. It's up to how Kammy wants her hair drawn, I suppose.
3. I think your prices are very easy to understand -- $10 per character, simple backgrounds are free, more complicated backgrounds you deal with case by case. Some charge more for uninked sketches, more for inked and colored art, more for cell shading, and yet more for smooth shading -- but you don't uninked sketches or uncolored line art, nor do you use shading at this point. Your price structure fits your style, and I have no trouble understanding it. Kammy must understand it well, considering how often she must commission you.
Thank you for sharing your art with us; I'm happy to be among your watchers! :)
Oh, and if you want me to send you a note saying what that sign says, I can do that -- I know her handwriting is terrible.
btw, ;)
