There was once a world, a perfect world, that slowly grew dystopian by hubris, and foolishness.
a war that woukd last centuries followed.
Across the land, skirmishes and battlefields descended like a plage as the ruling race, the Sapien [humans], the once proliferous species and master of all destinies, begun to fall against the growing numbers of the Zoan [anthro animals] and the Coatl [reptiles]. The race of the Alto [avians] choosing wisely the seclusion of the mountains, wanting nothing of this war.

Eventually, as the motives are long forgotten, the supplies are worn thin, and the world around them reduced to barren wastelands and deserts, do the warring factions come to realize what they have done. A truce is made between them.

The once cutting-edge technology reduced to barely-fuctional artifacts, the resources stretched thin, and most of the greater knowledge lost in time, the rulers of these lands saw it necessary to form a pact, a treaty, between them.

As they on their own attempted of restore their lands, they chose a way to dictate who was worthy of surviving this new reality, and show atonement for the past. The ruins of a once great megacity, now nothing but rubble and sand, would the their only battleground. A platoon of the best warriors of each land will enter these grounds, and hold a skirmish until one platoon reigns victorious.
The land that claims victory, is showered with the priviliges of fresh food, clean water, and ever rare medicine, until the next skirmish. Taking place at a time the rulers determine and agree on.

Seven centuries will pass under this rule, this treaty.
Eventually, a new change will occur, a new chance for the world itself. It is at these times, the stories of glory, will come to pass.
