I've never had a LJ and I never really have planned on making one. I have a tumblr but i hardly "blog" on it.
I just have a general aversion to sharing my life so publicly.

I originally got LJ when that was just where all the furry stuff was lol. Took a long time before I started making journals but for a few sweet years it was really nice since I had this list of people who I trusted but who didn't know me well enough to make it awkward lol. And it was fun to see them 'grow up' as well.

I'm kinda sad that's gone

But I honestly don't know if people really use LJ anymore.. I don't know anyone who does really ;;

i have a LJ and i check it maybe once a week/every other week. mostly to check the Fursuitauctions, fursuit tourney, and furry news pages. thats pretty much it.

I still have my LJ and check it everyday and post most of my furry stuff on there.

I read EVERYTHING on my friend's list unless it doesn't pertain to me at all. I check it over three times a day, and make a couple of posts a week. I comment when I can.

Yes, I totally use LJ! I read it every day, I comment, I write journals (not that much text but I never did), different stuff than what I post on twitter or FA.
I noticed quite a few people making posts about the fact that they hardly use LJ lately, indeed.

1) Read once daily. Comment on anything interesting. Barely post myself, but then I've always been that way.

2) I think its seeing more use, though dont have any empirical evidence to back it up.

I still have my LJ, mostly for the couple communities I'm still interested in following. I have a grand total of one friend who actually posts entries now.

I was addicted to LJ a few years ago - posted several times a day, was active on several communities. I just lost interest in blogging. I don't really feel the need to share my daily thoughts with people I don't talk to directly anymore.

I used LJ when secondlife pictures not allowed here thus I use LJ for it

1) I had two (because I lost the password for the first one and the email linked to it was abandoned years ago). I used it frequently, but stopped.

2) I know a few furs who are using it, but not enough for me to return. Just seems like a pain if you ask me.

Livejournal isn't for personal journals, it's for communities!

Since I work at home at my keyboard, I probably check it oh, about 10 times a day because I'm simultaneously keeping tabs on like a bunch of different websites like my email, FA, etc.

I have one, post journals occasionally when I have something worth recording. But I read it at lest two to three times a week, and comment here and there.

I use LJ. I check it once or twice a day. I only post there once a month (keep adding to a journal until the edn of the month then publish it) as I don't want to clog people's front page.

LJ is pretty much dead for me. I have an account, but I use it once a month...

I check fursuit and fursuit auctions there daily but have not touched my own journal in ages and I never look at anyone's personal journals, just those 2 places and like fursuit reviews, further confusion, quadsuits, sometimes furbid horrors

I've mostly abandoned LJ because the people I follow on there stopped or heavily decreased posting. I still check it daily cause it's one of the sites I have open with Chrome, but I don't post there anymore because I'm leaving that account for an archive and I don't want to make another LJ account. I did make a Dreamwidth account recently that I'm hoping to use as a clean slate. It's like LJ+ and they implement a lot more updates and it's based in America, not Russia. (wouldn't care if LJ wasn't converting into a completely Russian site, from the looks of it.) I personally like it a lot better right now. :3

As far as the "resurgence" goes... I haven't really noticed much of a difference? The people that post frequently there always have, really. And it's only 1-4 out of the 62 people I follow. So it's overall pretty dead from what it used to be. Most people have moved on to Twitter, Tumblr, etc.

I have a Livejournal account and check it once or twice a day to follow on fursuit and artists_beware, but I don't make any posts in my own journal. Mostly just because I have no idea what to post. xD Don't really comment at all either.

I have an LJ and I read entries by communities and comment on entries there with it, don't make my own entries though. xD
Save for maybe one or two on said communities.

Have a journal, check multiple times daily. Post every few days, but have noticed the downturn in participation, which does kind of give less incentive. It's a pity, because so far I've seen little coherent discussion on the alternative sites...just drive-by "Bob liked this" and "Eugene reblogged this" useless turdlets.

LJ is still my primary net location. I check it many times and day, and I post regularly. Hasn't changed at all since I started waaaaaaaay back when, really. Except of course that like you I'm no longer getting any comments, since everybody else has abandoned it. *shrug*

Used to be addicted to lj. now i only go there if i google and something is in the results. but i never bother logging in.

nobody posts there now that i know. all here or on fb.

I had live journal for about 4 years. I used to write in a once a month and regularly left comments. I usually checked it once a day. It seemed to be dying over the past two years and I left it completely this past winter.

I did the same with mine.

I read everything on my LJ friends list which includes personal journals and communities. I probably check it 2 or 3 times a day, but people do use it a lot less for personal entries. Years ago it was hard to keep on top of new stuff unless I checked it often. That is the case with twitter now but definitely not LJ.
I haven't been using mine lately but that is only because my life is boring and I have nothing to get off my mind. I have started using it a little bit more though, hopefully that can continue.

Apart from the communities I follow, LJ has become deader to me with more people using tumblr (but not to post real life stuff just to cross post things they personally enjoy, strangely enough).

I check LJ frequently, but it's mostly because I'm a vulture with fur sales and furhideandbone X3 I've started using it more for less furry-related life things, and stuff that's not really relevant here on FA as much. I try to only comment when I feel I can add to a conversation or discussion though, which is less and less lately. I'm just kind of boring lately.

I have an LJ and was really active back in 2006-2008. Then I lost internets for a while, and kinda let it fall by the wayside when I came back online in 2011. I stop by every once in a while - once a month or every couple months - because it still has great resources for suiting and taxidermy :3 But I don't really post outside of those groups now... kinda got out of the habit of talking about myself XD

I had an LJ, then, I rebooted it and have really not had time for it since most folks I talk to are here, and generally the journal function allows me to monitor it more closely, but I do still check in from time to time.

I honestly made one not too long ago just so I could follow the LJ snark communities that are still active. It seems like the site is more for the communities than personal journals.

I do kind of regret not getting involved with LJ back when it was really big. I can tell that there was a really neat culture that developed there that doesn't seem to be anywhere else. I've mostly read archived posts from different journals/communities here and there, but it seems like LJ has a lot to do with the furry fandom being as tight-knit as it it.

I still use my LJ, and post occasionally to it when something significant is going on in my life. I also follow others posts, but given that I have so many on my friend's list, I more often than not peruse through them and only pause to read an entry if it grabs my attention, and usually then reply to it.

The same thing could be also said of journal posts here in FA.

I post to LJ communities when I have questions to ask, and I'm always on the lookout for answers from other posters.

2) I'd like to go back to LJ's blogging format, but most of what I was there for originally has moved on to tumblr. So I haven't been paying it any notice, except to read fanfiction.

I have stopped using it as much as I am not on the market for commissions for awhile, but will likely resume using it with regularity again once I am prepared to accept new work.

I do use it for personal entries though as often as I feel the need to vomit my emotions into words.

1) I have and use on-and-off LiveJournal for about 10 years. I used to write weekly or once a month and regularly left comments. For the past 2-4 years I wasn't as avid checking up on it. Restarted it a couple of years ago when I moved back to Vermont and got in touch with the furry community and I post up furmeets in a couple of furry groups.

People could be reading other entries and either not commenting or write their own entries probably due from lazyness or intimidation or lack of inspirations or ideas of what to say. So probably in your case maybe they didn't know what to say as comments to your entries.

I've returned to using LJ more often after discovering a fursuit group to chat in. I post every other month, as opposed to bi-weekly at my most active times. I don't have any local friends who still use Lj. :/

Still use LJ and check it often, not as much as I'd like but work prevents internet time 8/

I have fallen into the trap that is Reddit so I have kinda forgotten about everything else online. I do visit LJ when I can remember though, and yours is one I go to read. I feel like I keep up better on FA though so who knows.

Yes, I do have and use LJ. I check it once a day, sometimes twice a day. I don't often post on it, but do reply to posts on there, on occasion.

Vs how often you did these things a couple years ago..
I used to post a lot more on it a couple of years ago, but, as I mentioned above, that's dropped off dramatically.

I think most people just glance over the entries and only reply if they feel they can contribute to the post in some way.

Haven't noticed a "resurgence" of people using LJ over the last 6 months per se. It could be in other areas of interest, but don't really know. As for using LJ more... I'd say not really. I'm using it about the same now, as I was then.

I have been on LJ maybe 3 times this past year. In the past I was on it 3 or more times a day checking communities on there like fursuit. I kinda stopped when grad school got extra busy and after I had a stranger at con recognize me from there and call me 'The girl who is always on lj fursuit'. It was a little embarrassing and I have not really been back on LJ much since.

I have a live journal. I mainly just use it for the fursuit forums and get feedback there. Other than that, I've found other platforms suit my needs better for blogging / journaling.

I visit LJ daily as I am a member of multiple communities :]

I pretty much have abandoned mine, after the majority of my furry friends gravitated away from there.
