Actually this bill's been misunderstood a fair deal...need to find the link again where it's explained what this bill and possible law is actually intended for. It's not going to make art theft legal, make it so you have to pay to keep the rights to your work or any thing like that. That site I read gave a good example of what it's really intended for.

Yeah i mean the intentions are good sweetie, like trying to prevent thief but they want us to PAY to protect our art where before it was free. They are trying to get money out of us because of the greedy government is "broke", unlike the pockets of certain politicians. But the point is, if you don't have the money to protect your art is becomes orphaned until you can pay but by then someone else could have stolen it! It's not right what they are doing

I thought the point of it was, for example, if you wanted to put wedding photos on a website you of course need the actual photographer's permission but if you couldn't find the photographer to ask permission then, by default, you -could- post the photos?

Nope.. Its anyone who is an artist.. here for example. I drew a picture of my character Leea. If i don't copyright it, meaning i would have to pay to get it copyrighted, then my artwork becomes anyones game and anyone can claim it for themselves. Saying they drew it, and if i didn't copy right it, and they did. It legally becomes theirs and they in turn could copy right the character if i didn't and i could never draw Leea again without that persons permission.

Score one for the hypocritic american government...What I think is gonna be funny is when people start ripping off artists from other countries...Now I'm worried, we got enough people who hate americans as it is. *Packs up and moves to Switzerland*

And how... This is just one big bad idea thats gonna hit the fans if they decide to go through with this. Hopefully people will not follow through with the dumb idea and stop it before its too late

Yeah...see, I agree with the idea and reason behind it that I'd first heard but this is rediculous.
