Tonight I will not be a baby!!

My motherly instincts are too strong.....
It all started when the neighborhood kids brought a little orange tabby kitten to our door. I wanted to say no (we already have four cats, 2 dogs, and 2 rats) but they were so sad, everyone was saying no to them. And everyone knows i took in three 4 week old kittens last year and fostered them. So, this 10 week ish old kitten was much easier.
I took him upstairs to our workout room after a quick health check. The skin around his eyes seemed like a dark red, maybe a tiny purple, but he could be tired, plus it was very hot outside. I didn't see any goop, so I think he's fine. He also may have ear mites but we have drops to treat ear mites.
I set him up *pauses to pet him* a litterbox and put him in it, where he danced and peed. Such a smart kitty. Than I got him food and water, and he drank lots of water (feeding that he was just thirsty). I've clipped all the nails I can get to (all the front ones except due claws and 1 random back nail).
Now he's just walking around. I've named him Sokka since he's super mischievous, loves exploring, very loving, and very daring.
I am trying to find out if he's lost (though his long claws make me think otherwise) but im hoping in my heart no one claims him and I get to keep him.
Pictures soon.
Welcome to the family Sokka :)
