So, normally if my computer shuts down unexpectedly, ArtRage leaves whatever the last save was which I can then work from again. Failing that it is supposed to store the 'working copy' file in the event of a crash.

My computer bluescreened a couple of hours ago.

The picture I was working on was open.

The recoverable file was useless.

The actual save I was working from was mangled.

All in all I lost about a day's work and I'm fucking pissed.

Thank fuck I have an older copy on an external hard drive or this would make me rage-quit drawing anything for who knows how long.

And I only lost a day. I truly pity those that lose the entire thing, or even worse pretty much everything due to a hard-drive failure or something.

That said I am still profoundly unhappy now because that damn thing was turning out to be my best work yet and I'm not sure if I can recreate it.

*sigh*

I need to go to bed...
