Stuck in the airport for hours, so I'm rambly. Think I will write more free online porn when I am finally in front of a computer.
What I am wondering is if readers would be turned off by a female goat, or a goat would be seen as too stereotypically "butch" for a lesbian.
Oh. We sold out of Handcuffs and Lace at AC. Woooooooooo!

O.o really, I'd see the opisite. Female goats would be pretty womenly in my eyes. Right up there with female cattle.

Well, if they don't find goats attractive, then no, they probably don't. If they're intrigued by the idea, then yes. If they, like me, really only care if they can get into the character itself, then I want to see that story.

OP
It's reasonable to assume most furry readers are less likely to read a story about a species they dislike/aren' attracted to (especially in erotica, which this is). I admit I'd be real reluctant to read about a pig or monkey or donkey or aquatic thing unless the story's premise is awesome.

Funny thing, I'd actually be a little bit intrigued since it's a seldom used species. I'd wanna see how it would go.

As you said, you need an awesome story in order to feature "unpopular" species. I think that's quite fair.
