My husband is on a camping trip for the next week, so I'm getting caught up on things like art and internet and housework
I've been doing some art and photography, but nothing very furry, I'm also writing a romance novel but it isn't furry either, so I haven't had much to share here lately.
my pets are getting less. tonight I gave the last male snail of my snail mail snails to Erica. she has still the two I gave her of the snail mail snails, and she thinks they are both girls, so we are giving that generation one more chance to lay viable eggs.
she had blue snail babies, and gave me 10 but only one of mine survived,--the one I gave to my daughter, to put with her 2 second generation snail mail snails. and now most of hers are dying too. but the one we have is doing very well.
one of my turtles which I now have outside has vanished, so I might have less of those too. maybe she will turn up. sorta sad because I've had her since she was a tiny baby about 4 or 5 years ago.
my daughters fluffy but mean hamster died. I'll miss him, He didn't like me but he liked me more than he liked anyone else.
we have two new ferrets that we got a few weeks ago. got them from the animal shelter, went to look at puppies just cause we were in the area and saw them and my husband fell in love with them.THey are very cute, I want to draw pictures of them but I haven't gotten to it yet, I haven't even taken photos. Lucky is deaf and blind and old, Sparky is young and hyper and always trying to escape.
total pets:
2 ferrets, 5 apple snails, 2 crawdads, one plecostimous, a few guppies, 2 gold fish, 2 very old dwarf hamsters, one turtle ...
...and tomorrow mom is going to give me a few of her new chicks to raise for her.
that's about all the furry or art or animal related news I can think of.
growing a garden, walking in the river, etc. --the summer is starting to get hot, it was up around 100 degrees F. today

i've pretty much lost interest in monotheistic beliefs. or even polytheistic ones. i still believe there are all sorts of neat fun invisible things. including one that is big, friendly and gives great hugs.
but what people pretend to know about what is not known, and what they use doing so as excuses for, i don't see how we'd be any worse off without.
i haven't lost interest in anything else though. my first love is still trains. computers and little furry creatures and people making pictures of little furry creatures and of people who look like or are little furry creatures still come in a close second. along with all the ways to have what we don't want to not have, that wouldn't make the world we live in a less inviting place. for which reason my love for trains is even greater for trains that are smaller, but still big enough, then the kind most of us are familiar with.
something about the way, forests, solar powered little trains and little houses in forests, seem so pleasingly to me, to go together. if there is a heaven, that is what mine would be like.
I don't like the hot too much or the cold too much but I like having a tiny bit of horrible hot and horrible cold every year to remind me how great the weather is all the rest of the year. That is how Kansas is to me--Perfect. and the town I live in is perfect too:St George. I love it. Although having access to a vehicle worthy of going into town for groceries is necessary here.
the railroad one edge of town is about 2 blocks from my house, the other edge of town is about ..umm...4 or so blocks in the other direction. the river is about the equivalent of two blocks from the railroad track, and there's a beautiful creek running through the middle of town into the river about a block from my house.
what part of the country would you like to live in? You totally should move to Abilene KS and volunteer on the excursion train there. I bet you would love it. It's a large town/small city, but a fairly rural area, and the train people are really nice. http://www.asvrr.org/
