Back From AC! ....... THANK GOD.. -.-' HORRIBLE Experience..

So..
I would LOVE to say the entire trip was amazing, filled with lots of epic stories, wonderful times, meeting amazingly nice people, great time with the hotel staff etc....
but... Yeah.. I hope at least everyone else had a much much muuuch better time than I did with things.
Aside from the EXTREMELY bad experience with the Westin's front desk staff, phone staff, billing method which dicked me hardcore... and some other little things. It was pretty awesome! Not as GLORIOUS as I was working myself up for [[this was my first AC]] but still it was a great time.
I don't know who else had any issues with this but yeah... I ended up getting charged WAY WAY WAY more than I was s'pose to for the Westin for our room.. and then charged twice... which overdrafted my account.. leading to fees etc.. When I called the hotel, the woman was EXTREMELY rude to me.. and treated me like a complete idiot. She was VERY condescending... among many other things. I tried to repeatedly explain to her my situation, but her exact attitude was "too bad, so sad, sucks to be you." ...... All of the staff, minus the amazing house keeper we had, was outrageously rude towards me whenever I had a question about the billing, parking, directions etc. I am very displeased >:/
MIND YOU! I had driven 12 hours one way, 12 hours back... to even attend AC.. I've been waiting the past 7 years to even get to go.. and THIS happens.. It really REALLY REALLY has discouraged me to even want to go back next year :/ unfortunately... Pretty bummed this was my FIRST time at AC and it was kind of... a bust on many accounts TT' The stress from all the crap almost ruined all the actual good parts of the trip D:

for two weeks prior to AC. That was a major plus! It was a fricken amazing time, lots of laughs were had when we were extremely sleep deprived during the drive down.. SOOOO lots of random shnarfigens were created. WE HAD A TON OF FUN TAKING PICTURES!!! We went to the raves each night and did Kage's story hour etc. All in all, regardless of the shit... really.. like I said, it was pretty great. Just trying HARD to ignore the crap TT'''
I got a 'Certified: Husky' badge for myself as well as a free button from a couple of girls at the con.
and myself handed out a TON of kandi bracelets during the parade on Saturday.
I think next year I'll be putting 'AC13' on them <.<'
Also! I really REALLY am going to try and get my suit done by next year :3 As well as

I'd still go again next year, just not sure if I'd be down to stay in the westin with my own or a friend's credit card down after this.
the whole "putting a hold for x amount" on the card has lead to issues of double charging for me as well in the past
that's....wow...just...wow
in all my many hotel stays i have NEVER had staff act like that
course the downside to this entire incident is that the hotel knows they can pull shit like that and they'll still book every room plus the broom closets when con rolls around
And when we checked out I was asked about the incidentals. And the girl at the front snapped at me, interupted me and then got all bent out of shape, threw our cards at the trash (missed so she huffed and had to pick them up) and was rude x.x''' Same with lady when I called to ask about parking because I didn't realize even as a guest you had to pay 20$ a night to park there, IF you even get a spot.. so we parked a few blocks down, cheaper, but still..
Im so sorry to hear of your unfortunate hotel stay.
I'll keep in mind to not be at the westin when i plan to go there next year :c
It was my first AC too^^ I was so glad that I sort of got to meet you haha. It was only when you were heading to the elevators lmao. I was able to have an awesome time. Hopefully when you go again it will be better^^
Hope you guys had a great time. Did you stay at westin? You going next year?
