It entirely depends, what is the make and model of your tablet? I know in some tablets that anything past a certain version of the operating system isn't supported on certain hardware.

mine is a zpad by zenith http://www.ebay.com/itm/512MB-4GB-1.....item3f0e0d7bf8 is what i got and as you can see by the post underneathe i am not happy with it and do not endorse anyone getting one or dealing with this non english speaking selller any idea if i can up grade it to a higher OS of android?

Using my omnipotent I.T. powers I did some research during some downtime at work this morning. Anything beyond Gingerbread (2.3) won't work. There are a few custom ROMs out there, but from what I'm seeing the boot time is quite slow and its performance may be a little wonky. Honeycomb's (3.0) requirements are just beyond that of your pad and Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0) is just right out. Sorry about that, mate. :\

To be perfectly honest, I am not sure. I can point you toward Zenith's website, but beyond that you're actually looking at someone that has failed utterly at finding updates for devices. Typically if you go into the device settings using the Menu button, then going into About [Device Name] it'll have an option to check for an update. Personally I've tried to update my Asus Transformer and almost bricked it as well as my phone. I don't want to trust myself enough to give you advice that might cause your pad to become nonoperational. I'd feel really horrible. :(

That too bad, because according to an ad I read in the paper, they were selling them for $80 a Big lots.
But again they ran out.

I checked out a few of them b4 and they seemed ok but all the electronics they sell are refurbished so u may be purchesing someone elses problem
