This is a pretty popular online youtube downloader, and one of the more reliable ones at that. But these guys recently got an email from one of YouTube’s lawyers, who wants them shut down.
As an online musician, I use youtube a lot to obtain music and various acapellas. And I know a lot of you hate paying for music as well. So I’m not much of an activist, but I figured I should share this with you guys.
All the details are in the URLs linked, and complaint emails can be sent directly to the public address of YouTube itself. I for one support online piracy and believe that sites such as youtube-mp3 should remain up and running.

It would indeed be a shame, as a lot of other downloaders are usually faulty or malicious. Or in my case, mac and linux users are kinda stuck without altavista's youtube downloader.
