my cat has heat stroke ;;
13 years ago
Hey guys, I've got some bad news.
My cat Kitkat.
He's 16, now, getting old, and also getting prone to heat stroke. In case any of you haven't noticed the temperatures around Australia right now, it's a little over 42 degrees (about 107 F). If a cat's body temperature raises above 38 degrees, or the environment around it does so, the cat risks its' organs failing on it.
I really would like to see my cat okay, although my parents believe it's better to let him go normally and are doing little to help him. It's much too hot outside, and way too expensive, to take him to the vet where he'll be put down in an unnatural environment and probably disposed of in a bag. Still, I want what's best for him. I guess this is kind of a "please donate i'll sketch you stuff" journal, although I don't think there's much we can do to help him and he probably won't last the end of this month.
My only hopes are that our hearts are with Kitkat, and that he will either recover safely or go peacefully. ;;

OP
He's drinking water and can still meow and walk around somewhat, which is good, but I'm worried to leave him on his own. Oh well, least we can do is hope he goes with dignity.
