Does anyone know how to fix a PS3. i work on computers, i know nothing about game consoles.

i turn it on and it say the hard drive file folder is corrupted than it start to restore the data and it come up with the same message again than it repeats those two thing over and over again

it might need the hard drive replaced completely but let me consult some of my friends on this.
