I did see Brave this past weekend - and it was a really lovely film.

The first 15 or 20 min of the movie is the story you see in the previews & commercials meant to pull the kids in. The meat of the story involves the circus- and the three main performers: Stefano (sea lion), Vitaly (Siberian tiger), and Gia (jaguar). Martin Short is -amazing- doing the voice of Stefano and the character reminded me a lot of Canio from Pagliacci. Vitaly is voiced by Bryan Cranston (again, amazingly done) and when Stefano tells the circus & Vitaly's back story I got weepy. Gia was perfectly cast with Jessica Chastain's voice- young, enthusiastic, exotic. I won't say anything else but I cried with joy during a big scene that is meant to mimic Cirque du Soleil. Just tuck in the back of your mind- pool of cobras, jet packs, and balloons for all the children of the world. :D
