I'm going crazy. I feel like the atmosphere I'm in and the people I'm around are turning me into someone I don't like. I feel like I'm a different person than I was a year or 2 ago. I feel meaner, less likable...I miss nerds. Geeks who get excited over the lamest things. This damn image-obsessed city feels like it's repressing the happiness I used to have for the silliest things.
Day in and day out I spend with people who never get psyched about the same movies I do, would never waste hours playing video games, I have to drag kicking and screaming to new restaurants, and they throw off any ounce of creativity they may have in exchange for tedious social drivel. They get so settled in their complacent, mind-numbing schedules and automatically turn down new or different experiences regardless of how minuscule a commitment.
Fuck them. Fuck them. FUCK THEM!!

There ARE smart, creative, INTERESTING people out there. I'm just stuck in the wrong circle right now. Unfortunately, I live in what's the most ideal place I could possibly want and, in order to maintain that opportunity, I have to put up with them.
Phew, god...I needed to get that off my chest. Thanks for putting up with my ranting! Anytime anyone's up for doing something; grabbing dinner, watching a movie, going to a museum, whenever - I don't care. Even a weeknight, please let me know. I need artistic sanity.

Last year was a biggie for good films, just check out all the Oscar nom's. Secretly, and less know, L'Orfantato was a tres excellente horror flick. Woooa, I get chills just thinking about it!
You know your always welcome, your just soooo busy it is kinda silly for me to call you or anything these days because you never can get together. Let me know if you want to meet up this weekend. You could come have dinner in North Hollywood Fridaynight with us if you want. I am pushing her to take me to Hugos <3.
I really would take you up more often on these invitations if the distance wasn't such a barrier. I love the wineries up there and have always wanted to kayaking. Mayhaps I can round up some nice furry folks down here and we can make a day trip of it? That'll make the drive not seem so crazy, eh?
And, again that's very nice offer for dinner - but meeting the folks usually comes after at least the 2nd date, eh? Hehehe oh i kid! I'm being a lizard man (omg, fursuiting?) in a new Will Ferrel flick all through this week/end so there's another excuse :P
But I'm not lying, I do wanna come up and visit! We'll be in touch!

these may not be your style of music, but hey, who knows.
The first one I dig the original song and enjoyed your version. I liked when the additional drum hits came in early, but a bit later, like 1:40?, started to get a bit crowded/busy sounding. But good pacing on it - stayed interesting the whole way through.
I don't know the 2nd song(s?) but it sounds polished. Like something you'd totally hear on a dance floor. But, and this may be my ignorance of the genre, there wasn't much...exciting about it? But I dunno how new/different you can get with this stuff.
ok, first - video on the 3rd one is the best thing EVER. I love the song...but ya gotta be careful with repetition. Maybe work with the speed/pitch?
The first one -- Definitely a bit busy, but the software I'm using (virtual dj) is a bit simple. think paint in comparison to photoshop.
The second one -- Yeah... neither of them are very intense songs, especially Poney Pt. 1 by vitalic. just more of an ambient trippy techno song.
The third one -- Haha, I'm glad you liked it! I know, there is one part where the tetris part of the song loops, and doesn't match perfectly (like 55 - 56 seconds in). That was a mistake on my part, haha, I need to mix it again. I have to mix it and record it live, can't tweak it really. Or did you mean repetition in terms of there not being much variation in the song?
