Horse stuff.

Well i'm not a big fan of putting journals out but I feel like showing off what i've done in the past year with one of my horses Killian. When I first got him he was what people called 'Broken' because he had fractured his illiacs. But no one knew this they just thought he had a wonky gait and didn't use his hind end. Which granted he does and doesn't but it wasn't simply because he was lazy. Anyways my old barn trainer decided to say Oh hey :B want this horsie for 7,500?? Me being stupid bought him...for that amount. But I don't really regret it much she did need the money for her son and such. So after that we spent about one month riding him before he became fully lame from all the work I had been doing with him...:( We found out he had thrush so they farrier we had decided oh hey let's put a pad on it. Which was stupid ene found a new farrier who straightened him out gave him the perfect measurements! He's actually a black smith too..After that he suggested we see our massage therapist for horses. We were like hey he's been lame for 6 months why not! After the first visit we found out what his issue what and actually he began to get better. I began to ride him bareback before I use to lug him around and walk him to grass then chase him in the paddock. That's all I could do now I could trot him while on him which felt like a huge accomplishment! In which we moved him to another barn Lincoln meadows which I had been working at off and on to help one of my friends. Truly love it 40 acres of trails paddocks and grass. He has gained so much weight which is good along with built muscle from riding him :) i'm so happy he's truly fixed. <3 He was my project horse now I have another one I need to build up and hopefully make a jumping horse out of him!
