UPDATES WHILE COMMISSIONING
1) I try my best to find out what you are looking for and if I can do what you want. We sort out the details. Reference images are provided if applicable.
2) Once undertaking a commission, I will give updates if requested.
-sketch stage: time to review overall pose and positioning. Some expression and such will be able to be worked on at this point.
-ink: Time for review on expressions and minor details. Changes can only be made to lines.
-base color stage: All pose and expressions are final at this stage. Changes can be made in markings and or colors.
-Shade stage/completion: This stage is for only minor tweaks to highlights or lighting, and or light color and simple BG.
4) I email the commissioner the file(s) of the artwork to them. And if so I make sure they have received the file(s).
PAYMENT AND DUE DATES:
1) I have the right to change an estimated date of completion depending on the situation. I have the right to refuse service to anyone. Money must be paid in advance before work can begin on a project, or at least half of the payment upfront on larger priced artwork (orders $50 or larger). (The last half to be paid before the commissioner receives the inks). Prices may change at anytime prior to acceptance.
2) I do NOT accept echecks or money orders except in special situations WHEN notified properly ahead of time.
Standard Paypal is the preferred method of payment. Those who pay this way will get priority over those who do not.
I WILL NOT START WORK ON A PROJECT UNLESS IT IS AT LEAST 50% PAID FOR.
3) I will send you my paypal information, please send the payment as “Payment Owned”
4) Payments can be made in full up front (preferred), or half upon acceptance of a commission and the other half upon completion and approval of the sketch. Make sure to tell me which you prefer.
5) Payments must be made within 2 days of acceptance or your commission will be dropped, or put on my pending list. It is up to my discretion on this. If payment will not be made immediately, tell me.
RESPONDING IN A TIMELY MANNER:
As a commissioner you agree that you will respond to all emails or updates to the best of your ability. And if responses are not responded to with approval or disapproval within 2 days from me posting, that your commission will be put at the bottom of the list until all other commissions above you are completed and you will respond. I will make at least 1 effort to contact you once I post or complete part of a commission for you promptly upon completing it. If response is not received from you within one day, I will contact you one more time giving you a warning that I will be moving you down the list. Once moved down the list, I may open more commissions above you, and I will attempt to contact you again. If a response is not procured within a week of posting, i may continue to the next stage, removing you from edits from previous stages.
If there is an unforseen event that you must be absent for updates for longer than 2 days during a commission, you will send me a note or email asking me to put your commission(s) in pending, so i will not move on to the next stage. With a notice, you will be put back to your same spot upon return, and will not be penalized for lack of communication.
CHANGES:
You have the right to ask for changes at the stages listed above in what they concern. These changes must be within the boundaries of the amount of money paid or be paid in addition to whatever has been completed and restarted. I have the final say as to how much leeway these boundaries have or how much I will charge for fixes at points past above agreed stages.
If you desire parts of a commission to be changed after it has past a point of updating it and you have approved, (EX: you want lines altered but you already approved the lines and I have colored it) you will accrue extra charges. The charge can be up to whatever the price of a similar commission at that stage (number of char and complexity equivalent) and must be paid in full before continuing. However, I am willing to do changes at approval stages up to two(2) times in each stage. You will not be charged for the first two change sessions made at the proper times per stage. This is left up to my discretion. What is allowable for changes is stipulated above in the "UPDATES WHILE COMMISSIONING" section.
PROPERTY POLICY:
All of my artwork is my intellectual property in all stages and upon completion and therefore should not be changed by anyone (even the commissioner) other than yourself without getting written permission from me. I will keep scans and copies of all artwork for my records if I so desire. Characters that belong to you, I will ask for permission before posting them to a public site, however I will give you credit for the design always. I like posting my work to help me attract other commissioners, though I have NO problem taking down artwork from my page if you no longer want the artwork, though I would like a reason if possible. If the art has multiple characters in it belonging to multiple people, I will take it down anyways to avoid drama if only one person from said piece asks it removed. (I will still keep a personal record, though it will never be posted without your permission)
Your characters belong to you, and I will always credit each person for whom it belongs. I will not accept commissions of characters without their written permission. Only the art belongs to me, I will never take ownership of your characters.
SELLING COMMISSIONS TO OTHERS
All of the artwork that I create for you still belongs to me. I am giving you permission to post and use for personal means. I do not accept the selling of my art for profit in any way. So please don't do it,
REFUNDS:
I do not offer refunds once work has went past sketch stage, and refunds may not be given for up to a month for projects not yet started.
I only offer refunds if the sketch has not been approved by the commissioner, and they decide they do not want to continue with the piece. Refunds will not be in full, I will keep a percentage of it for work on the sketch. (depending on how many sketches were given) I will give you the full resolution of the most recent sketch as well. (older sketches may be at a lower resolution, or non existent. If there were previous sketches, I will do my best to give you all versions, though they are not guaranteed)
Sketches may be completed by you, or other artist WITH my permission and credit. You may also come back to me, and pay the difference from what a sketch costs to the level of art that you want. This only applies for my sketches, not sketches done by others.
BY COMMISSIONING ME, you accept all above terms and conditions, unless otherwise stated by me prior to starting it. That you have the right to discuss with me for clarification or modification before entering into a commission agreement. Modification to my policies is only applicable per commission.
I have a right to refuse my services to anyone!
I have the right to refuse the rest of a incomplete commission at anytime, refunding you for whatever part of a commission is unfinished (the prices of what is completed so far according to prices equal to that stage, minus the price of the current paid amount). If no work is started then a full refund will be given.
I have the right to drop a commission if it is not paid by a date you set (after 2 days) later even with notice to me.
I have the right to drop a commission for any reason at anytime, even prior to the commission being accepted.
I have the right to refuse a commission for ANY reason.
