the biggest problem is too few dollars and too many artists.the artist to fan ratio in the fandom is higher then many fandoms .though at least people have original creations and its not like at an anime con were 150 people are all trying to compete to draw goku for some fans

... and then you have a comic with story that really looks promising, you donate, and just two or three pages later, the artist loses interest and the project dies.

... and yes, I totally agree with you on that donation-crowdfunding-shit. Though, what gets me going isn't neccessarily the fact of artists asking for donations, but more the fact that there are enough stupid, dumb, moronic fanboys to throw them money for almost anything!

Heck, you ever noticed? Have a name as an artist, make a journal about that new Wacom you've been dreaming about but that you have no money atm, bang, two days later? "I can't believe this. Thank you so very much for all the surprise donations via my PP!"

Well, what I can and will blame artists for: The moment they become aware of the fact that people will throw them money for simply everything they ponder buying, it should be common sense that they stop making journals about this or return the donations.
It's ... simply not right, kinda. Blah.

\Rukis publishes comics and is GOOD at that sort of thing
