I have the Droid Razr Max. The screen is very large, the battery life is the best out there, right now (as long as you buy the Max) The operating system is Ice Cream Sandwich, which is better then then Gingerbread system was and it has all the features that you could possible want and more. I have Verizon as my carrier as they have the best coverage and the most 4G service. Additionally, service with Sprint and ATT on the Cape is spotty, at best. Not sure how it is where you live.

The galaxy 3 and razr maxx are both great phones. If you root either of them you can enable the hotspot feature for free, as long as you don't use it TOO much. If you get crazy with the data usage the service provider will get pissy and demand you pay for tethering.
16GB is PLENTY for an android device.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Nexus; I got it unlocked from Google and use a T-Mobile SIM. T-Mobile was awful in rural Texas but works fine now that I'm in Seattle.

I love the phone: awesome screen, stable, good battery life, etc. The Galaxy S III is very similar, but has moderately better hardware (and a much bigger price tag if you buy it without a contract) and ought to be even niftier then the Nexus.

I agree with LoneWoof -- unless you know for certain you're gonna load more then 16 gigabytes on it (huge music collection and you have to carry around *all* of it?) there's no point in getting 32.
