Too Much Reality in Your Fantasy

If the Furry Fandom is based on fantasy characters, then at what point do these characters cross the line into reality? What are their limits?
If you go out on a drinking hinge for example, you're going to have a massive hangover the next day and probably do some damage your liver. But does that happen to our fantasy characters? Usually not.
A problem occurs when we start acting like our superhuman counterparts. YOLO means You Only Live Once, but not by wasting your life on dangerous stunts that could shorten it.

If you want your stories or art to be taken seriously by others however, you have to inject some reality. (Well, generally, I suppose there are exceptions!) A story without consequences for a character's actions is really dull and annoying.
And of course real life is called real for a reason. Those who act without thinking of the consequences are immature and not very bright to boot - hopefully they learn better someday before it's too late.
